ABOUT OLHSO

Welcome to OLHSO House

Step inside our glowing walls, share our sizzling bites, clink a glass, and be transported to Seoul.

At the helm is Chef Han Sungil, guiding a menu that celebrates the soul of Korean dining: premium cuts and flame-crafted plates, served in a space designed for connection — what Koreans call 정 (Jeong), the warmth and bond that grow when food and people come together.

Here in San Mateo, our new home, every table becomes a celebration of tradition, community, and flavor — and we couldn’t be more grateful to share it with the city we love.

About our Chef

For more than a decade, Chef Han has been widely recognized in Korea for his culinary expertise and exceptional service in the Korean BBQ scene. With a mastery of Korean barbecue encompassing beef, pork, chicken, and seafood, he currently operates 5 BBQ brands spanning 19 locations across Korea.

His famous brand, Woosiya (우시야), was selected as the “must-visit Korean Beef BBQ restaurant” by Korea’s most esteemed food TV program, “Wednesday Food Talk (수요미식회)”.

Dining Experience

Guests at OLHSO are welcomed with curated platters, à la carte options, seasonal banchan; and invited to enjoy in two unique ways:

At-Table Grilling
The classic experience. Reserve a table and enjoy premium cuts prepared for you tableside, just as it’s done across Korea. Our attentive servers marinate and grill each cut to bring out the best in every bite, pairing it with seasonal banchan to complement the flavors. Indulgent, relaxed, and fully taken care of.

Reservations recommended.

Live Fire — Small Plates
From our kitchen’s glass-enclosed hearth, chefs prepare a medley of Korean small plates and serve them directly to your table — with the smoky-sweet flavor that comes only from live fire.

Available exclusively for walk-in guests.
